Hypnotherapy for Anxiety

Anxiety takes many forms. Panic attacks, OCD, IBS, migraines and many phobias can often be attributed to anxiety. The impact is far-reaching.

Solution Focused Hypnotherapy is extremely effective in helping people work through these problems. It works by:

❤️ Explaining why the brain creates anxiety. We give an explanation of the brain which helps clients understand that what is happening is a normal response and that the brain is trying to keep us safe, albeit in a rather unhelpful way!

❤️ Not focusing on the problem. If you’re stuck in a dark place, it’s often more helpful to find a way out rather than talk about how it feels in there!

❤️ Focusing on the positives in your life. This helps you become more mindfully aware of the present moment which means you are less likely to be negatively forecasting the future or getting stuck in a cycle of anxious thoughts. Over time, this can rewire your brain to be more generally positive.

❤️ Finding your own way forward. Rather than telling you what to do, we use hypnosis so that you can access the answers yourself from your subconscious mind. We all have a wealth of knowledge and personal wisdom at our disposal. It can be hard to access it when we have lots of immediate stresses or worries. Hypnosis cuts through the noise to help us reach our own answers.

❤️ Relaxation. Although the subconscious mind is hard at work during hypnosis, clients come away feeling deeply relaxed, refreshed and positive and they carry these feelings into the rest of their day.
